Statice Seeds - Pink Pokers

$300

Average Seed Count: 50

Whimsical and wild statice looks to be a thing of fairytales or a sea-dwelling creature. Plants have mostly basal leaves, which makes the stems easy to locate for cutting, and there are almost no leaves to strip away. Low-growing plants produced 2–3 flushes of harvestable stems in our trials. Excellent for dried flowers or fresh cuts. Flowers dry beautifully, holding their color well. Early statice. Also commonly known as Russian statice and rat tail statice.

Growing Info

Transplant (recommended) - Sow into 50-cell flats or preferred seedling container 5-6 weeks before planting out. Light aids germination; cover just enough to hold seeds in place. Harden off plants and transplant out after danger of frost. Note: Providing temperatures of 60°F (16°C) for 1-2 weeks after the seedlings emerge encourages rooting. Direct seeding is not recommended.
